AS365N3 maybe?

Written on 2024年 03月 01日 by Chuck Pergiel

It's taken in one of the hangars of HARS (the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society) which is based at the Shellharbour Airport, with their longest runway (16/34) being 5900 feet. (YSHL is 45 nautical miles south of Sydney YSSY). The L1049 Super Connie is flown regularly, as you would expect from the drip pans!

Hi Russel,
I'm only a spotter from Frankfurt and it was a nice day with a good light and clouds in the backround. Often we have here an empty sky. It was a nice variety for me to catch this one after a heavy rain shower.
It was 2 years before, and ABC cargo was one of the biggest anticorona fighters here in Frankfurt!

From the viewpoint of a retired B-747 Captain, all I see is a well camouflaged 747 until you get too close to it if you are in the air. I do not like it.

The horses could be transfers of the art of renowned artist Hans Erni; applied atop dark, solar reflective paint. Look up Hans Erni.

Yes, Diana, it is. From Wikipedia:

"The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-turbofan, straight-wing, subsonic attack aircraft developed by Fairchild Republic for the United States Air Force (USAF). In service since 1976, it is named for the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, but is commonly referred to as the "Warthog" or simply "Hog"."

These flying paperclips are great fun as long as the weather is good — as efficient as can be. If you have the bucks the AutoGyro Cavalon 915iS Gyroplane - https://youtu.be/6gp76bCMrWQ - will keep you toasty all winter.
